Chiropractor Clemmons NC

Crossroads Chiropractic

Welcome to Crossroads Chiropractic, directly off I-40 at Lewisville Clemmons Road. We serve patients across Forsyth county, Davie & Davidson county, and beyond. Dr. Jason Barker and wife Julie founded this clinic to reach people for holistic healthcare. This means we focus on finding the cause of a condition and correcting it at the source. Dr. Barker was inspired to become a Chiropractor in the Winston-Salem area after seeing the need in this community for holistic healthcare. Dr. Barker has been where many patients are, with his own childhood filled with constant sickness, asthma, diabetes, weight issues, headaches, and all. Then, after a serious neck injury during his senior year of college football, Chiropractic was the tool that restored his body. Digging deeper into holistic chiropractic, he went on to reverse all the health concerns he grew up facing. His mission is to not only help adults that have been stuck in a state of pain, sickness and disease, but also to help pediatrics & adolescents access holistic chiropractic to live a life of vibrant health as early as possible.

Holistic Chiropractic, infusing corrective chiropractic care, effective nutrition and exercise, as well as detoxification and proper supplementation, allowed Dr. Barker to lose over 100 pounds, reverse diabetes, headaches, and come off blood pressure medication. His story didn’t stop there. He’s helped countless others get to the cause of many symptoms, including his wife. When he met Julie, she was a skeptic that Chiropractic could help with more than back and neck pain, but later she successfully came off all medications, including for acid reflux and anxiety, because of holistic chiropractic. Our Clemmons NC Chiropractors empower people to know there are other options besides medications, injections, and surgeries. We equip people to not only get to the cause of disease, but to also prevent it. Our mission is to inspire our community to find a renewed sense of hope: that you can experience better health and live the life you were created for.

Evaluation

After taking your health history into account, your chiropractor will perform a physical examination. Your chiropractor may feel your spine, joints, and examine your range of motion.

Assessment

A chiropractic exam will be thorough and may include X-rays, orthopedic tests, and neurological tests.

Spinal Exam

To determine what parts of your spine would require chiropractic care, your chiropractor will likely use a palpation technique to find what areas of your spine's mobility are restricted.

X-Rays

Many healthcare providers employ the use of x-rays for diagnostic purposes, including chiropractors. They are useful in helping identify the source of a problem, its potential severity, and potentially guiding the course of care.

What We Do

We work as a team to align your spine in optimal position. Spinal misalignment diminishes nerve supply and weakens the body, increasing risk of pain, illness, and reduced life-longevity. Improper spinal alignment is common, and can be caused by both physical and emotional challenges.

Aligning your spine and correcting abnormalities, caused by stress or injury, maximizes your nerve supply and clears pathways to enhance healing without medications, injections or surgeries. By optimizing nerve supply and proper spinal alignment through spinal correction, the body’s systems can naturally interact better and pain and inflammation can be reduced.

Holistic chiropractic takes care of the spine–either in a corrective care or maintenance care phase–while also utilizing the power of effective nutrition, supplementation, exercise, and detoxification, to increase healing potential and expedite results. Health is a journey: we’re here to help you start yours, and, we’re here to walk with you along the way!

How Can Chiropractic Care Help You?

The benefits that chiropractors provide can be seen in a variety of health conditions. Even relatively healthy people can see improvements. Most of us put our bodies through a lot. Regular adjustments can help to restore balance within the body.

Your spine is designed to protect your spinal cord. Your spinal cord is responsible for moving information from your brain to the rest of your body. Your spine is the protective case for one of the most important parts of your body, and a Clemmons NC chiropractor can help you maintain it.

The Education of a Chiropractor

Most patients don't realize how much education chiropractors in Clemmons NC have. Chiropractors are held to some of the most intense educational standards in any health field. In fact, their education standards are very comparable to that of a medical doctor.

After completing a strong emphasis of basic sciences to receive their baccalaureate, chiropractors go on to a four-year chiropractic college to earn their doctorate that includes courses in radiology, neurology, pathology, clinical nutrition, and externships as well. Chiropractors are considered primary care physicians, so referrals are not required.

X-rays are used for diagnostic purposes by many medical practitioners, including chiropractors. X-rays are useful in helping identify the source of a problem, its potential severity, and potentially guiding the course of care. X-rays can provide direction for effective corrective and wellness chiropractic care. X-rays are taken when the spinal exam warrants necessity.

If case history and basic evaluation constitute a spinal exam, our doctors may do a spinal exam to assess range of motion, palpate to find restricted areas in spine and joints, or perform other orthopedic and/or neurological tests.

Spinal correction is the specific type of chiropractic care we provide that gets incredible results. This is accomplished by specific adjustments, corrective exercises, neuro-muscular reeducation, and pre and post x rays.

After Corrective Care, most patients enter maintenance/wellness care. Some patients (especially very young ones) do not need corrective care, and start in wellness care. The goal of wellness care is to maintain proper spinal alignment while enhancing lifestyle through effective nutrition, exercise, supplementation and detoxification . Your health is not a destination, it’s a journey!
